Mark Durant Joinery is a small, family owned business , established in 1997 with an objective of ‘setting a benchmark’ for the production and supply of high quality timber products. We don’t manufacture mass-produced products, but offer a personalised service, providing the best quality custom-made solid timber joinery for our clients.
We take great pride in our ability to manufacture individually designed timber joinery. Our designs include DOUBLE hung box sashes with lead weights, windows, doors, bi-folding door systems, roof lanterns and stair cases. We specialise in period and listed properties We utilise renewable timbers sourced from around the world and incorporate hardware and fixings that have been engineered to the highest standards, to complement our timber joinery. Doors
Our doors are made using traditional mortise and tenon joints that are wedged for rigidity and long life. We can produce any style, shape or type of door imaginable. From the simplist softwood door to an English Oak entrance door.
Mouldings
We have a wide and varied range of cutters and therefore can match existing profiles for period and listed properties these include skirtings, architraves, picture rails, dado rails, paneling and most joinery profiles with ease from drawings or samples. Wood turning we can match existing spindles, newls and finials
Stairs
We can produce many types of custom made staircases. Each staircase is assembled in our workshop for inspection to ensure we maintain our high standards of workmanship. Once disassembled and shipped to site you can be confident it can be re-assembled without further work being required (unlike many others that need extensive on-site "adjustments").
Windows
We produce all types of windows and frames. We can copy existing styles to maintain the architectural features of your property. Windows we have built include: Georgian, Elliptical head, Box Sash, Bull's eye, Semi-circular head windows, Sub frames for crital and Sussex pin metal casements.
Wood Turning
We offer a bespoke wood turning service. We can produce a single finial or drawer pull, newel posts, a set of legs or spindles.
